Thank you for choosing
Prime Kitchens.

Your new kitchen has been designed, manufactured and installed with care using quality materials and hardware to provide years of reliable performance and enjoyment. Like any investment in your home, regular care and maintenance will help preserve both its appearance and functionality.

This guide provides simple recommendations to help you care for your cabinetry and hardware and ensure your kitchen continues to perform as intended.

Everyday Care

For routine cleaning, we recommend:

  • Using a soft microfibre cloth and warm water.
  • Applying a mild, non-abrasive household detergent when required.
  • Drying surfaces thoroughly after cleaning.
  • Cleaning spills promptly to prevent staining or moisture damage.

Avoid:

  • Abrasive cleaners and scouring pads.
  • Bleach, solvents or harsh chemical products.
  • Excessive moisture left on surfaces.
  • Steam directed onto cabinetry from kettles, coffee machines or other appliances.

Cabinetry & Panels

Prime Kitchens cabinetry is manufactured using quality materials designed for everyday residential use.

To maintain the appearance of your cabinetry:

  • Wipe surfaces regularly using a soft damp cloth.
  • Dry all surfaces after cleaning.
  • Remove food splashes, oils and liquids as soon as practical.
  • Open windows or use extraction when cooking to minimise moisture build-up.

Avoid:

  • Hanging wet towels over cabinet doors.
  • Allowing water to pool around sink areas.
  • Leaving appliances that generate steam directly beneath overhead cabinetry without adequate ventilation.

Please note that prolonged exposure to moisture, heat or direct sunlight may affect the appearance and performance of cabinetry over time.

Hinges & Drawer Systems

Your kitchen has been fitted with premium-quality hardware designed for long-term performance.

To ensure smooth operation:

  • Keep hinges and drawer runners free from dust and debris.
  • Avoid overloading drawers beyond their intended use.
  • Operate drawers and doors with reasonable care.

Internal Storage Accessories

Where fitted, pull-out storage systems, waste bins and pantry accessories should be cleaned regularly with a soft cloth and mild detergent.

To maximise the lifespan of these components:

  • Do not exceed recommended load capacities.
  • Ensure items are stored evenly.
  • Avoid forcing mechanisms beyond their normal operating range.

Timber Components

Natural timber products may vary in colour, grain and texture. Timber will naturally respond to changes in temperature, humidity and sunlight exposure.

To care for timber components:

  • Clean with a soft cloth and mild detergent.
  • Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture.
  • Wipe up spills immediately.
  • Protect from excessive direct sunlight where possible.

Natural movement and colour variation are characteristics of timber and are not considered defects.

Moisture & Ventilation

Proper ventilation is essential to maintaining the condition of your kitchen.

We recommend:

  • Using your rangehood whenever cooking.
  • Ensuring adequate ventilation throughout the home.
  • Wiping condensation from surfaces when necessary.
  • Promptly addressing any plumbing leaks.

Particular care should be taken around sinks, dishwashers, boiling water taps and other moisture-prone areas.

Benchtops

Care and maintenance instructions for stone benchtops are provided separately by your benchtop fabricator.

Please refer to the documentation supplied with your benchtop for cleaning recommendations, maintenance requirements and warranty information.
