Located in the beautiful surroundings of Glenorchy, Whenua Lodge required a kitchen fitout that mirrored the beauty of its environment.

‍

To bring this vision to life, our designer Jenna brought a masterful palette of contrasting textures and New Zealand materials. Layering matte black joinery with granite, steel, and timber. This combination created a sleek atmosphere while paying homage to its roots, resulting in a kitchen that feels curated and bespoke.

‍Key Features & Material Selections

Joinery | Plytech Polaris Black: An ultra-matte, velvety finish, providing an anchor point for the space. 

Benchtops | Antique Brown Granite & Stainless Steel: Mixing textures with polished stone for drama and matte stainless steel.

Island Feature | Rimu & Steel: Recycled Rimu supported by custom steel legs, adding warmth and local heritage to the industrial palette. 

Splashback | Dekton Entzo: Inspired by Calacatta gold marble, this gold-veined patterning adds classic elegance, complimenting the dark tones.

The Outcome

The final result is an immersive space that stands as the heart of the lodge. Successfully balancing the wide selection of natural materials throughout the lodge while enhancing the beautiful surroundings of Glenorchy.
