Project: Full Home Renovation
Location: Dunedin
Designer: Bronwyn, Prime Kitchens Dunedin
The client’s brief was simple - Clean lines, maximising storage all while keeping the space uncluttered and minimalist.
To achieve this, our designer Bronwyn used a monochromatic palette of supermatte white and black to create a modern atmosphere. To minimise visual clutter, the kitchen and laundry ultilised smart storage which included pull out spice drawers, laundry hamper, keeping surfaces clear and the design sleek.
"I enjoyed working on this project with the clients, they were amazing to deal with and absolutely love the way their kitchen turned out. They were impressed with the amount of storage we managed to get within the space. The clients are thrilled with how well the space works for entertaining family and friends.”
Key Features & Material Selections
Joinery | Prime Kitchens Supermatte White & Black: A soft touch, high-contrast finish that minimises glare, ideal for sunny open plan spaces.
Benchtops | Lucino Calce Light & Phantom Grey: Durable architectural stone in light and dark tones to define zones and support the monochromatic theme.
Handles | Archant Edge Straight White & Black: Colour matched for a handless look, keeping cabinetry’s clean lines
The Outcome
The final result is a kitchen and laundry that perfectly balances form and function. It meets the clients’ need for an open entertaining space while still having the hidden utility of maximised storage.
“We couldn’t be happier with our new kitchen and laundry. As part of our renovation, we wanted a modern, timeless kitchen and laundry with lots of extra storage that didn’t detract from our views. We’re loving the beautiful features of the engineered stone bench tops and cabinetry. And features like the pull-out spice drawer, pantry and laundry hamper make it functional and easy to use." - Client
