Project: Kitchen Renovation
Location: Dunedin
Designer: Michele Gray, Prime Kitchens Dunedin
The client's brief was to develop a design that would appeal to a wide market, yet move beyond the typical white-on-white aesthetic often found in house flips. The objective was to create a warm, high-quality, and contemporary space, ready for its new owners.
To achieve this, Michele and the client worked together to develop a kitchen with a unique design and colour palette. The final selection was rich wood grain, earthy green, black hardware and gold accents
Key Features & Material Selections:
Joinery colour | Prime Kitchens Red Cedar and Black Supermatte: A rich, warm wood-look grain paired with Black supermatte, this high contract provides a distinct quality and modern edge
Bench tops | Laminex Nero Grafite Natural: The Nero Grafite was selected to compliment the joinery, the dark grey benchtop with linear marble veining was the perfect way to continue texture throughout the kitchen.
Handles | Archant Sarnen Brushed Brass: Subtle brushed brass handles were incorporated to introduce warmth and luxury linking the rich wood tones as well as the dark surfaces.
The Outcome
This project delivered an appealing kitchen that went beyond the regular white kitchen renovation. The complimentary colour palette and brass touches created a space that was both on-trend and timeless. The clients were highly satisfied with the finished design and the level of service.
“This kitchen space was redesigned with a focus on broad market appeal, combining timeless finishes with modern functionality. The overall result was a kitchen that feels fresh, functional and move in ready”
